In the expansive tapestry of Los Angeles’ dynamic music landscape, Michael Eddy emerges as an artist of compelling multidimensionality. Commanding a suite of talents that spans songwriting, instrumental proficiency, cinematic presence, choreographic insights, and emotive storytelling, His artistic repertoire showcases profound versatility.

Drawing from a cultivated sonic palette that channels the enduring legacies of The Beatles and Marvin Gaye, with the incendiary guitar prowess reminiscent of Van Halen and the distinctive rhythmic sensibilities of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael Eddy is curating a sound that marries rock, pop, and country into an inventive auditory narrative.

For his seminal track, Michael Eddy sought collaboration with industry luminary Michael Orland, renowned for his tenure with “American Idol.” The result, “Small Towns,” is a sophisticated interplay of pop’s effervescence and country’s heart. The track elucidates the exhilaration of exploration juxtaposed against the gravitas of one’s roots. With acoustic undertones, infectious choruses, and resonant vocals, “Small Towns” positions him as a tour de force in cross-genre innovation.

As a bona fide member of the Screen Actors Guild and a luminary in the hip-hop sphere, Michael Eddy extrapolates his core principles into his sonic endeavors. An ardent proponent of empathy and inclusivity, his narratives are grounded in the solid foundation of familial values and community ethos. Michael Eddy articulates, “The cornerstone of my upbringing has always been intrinsic kindness. My lineage, particularly the influence of my late grandmother, has been paramount. I’ve been nurtured to champion inclusivity, and my aspiration is that my musical creations act as catalysts for affirmative change.”

With “Small Towns” being the first among what promises to be a series of distinguished releases, Michael Eddy firmly establishes himself as an industry paragon to monitor. Engage with “Small Towns” across all major streaming platforms.

Making a name for oneself is no easy feat. It requires patience, talent, and consistent hard work. But it is even harder to do it when the industry is already saturated and solid – like music. It all boils down to how different and original your sound is, and even that can be perceived differently by different people. To truly stand out, you need to have something that no one does. In music, that often means having a unique voice, tone, or technique. Rising Cuban artist Roberto ‘Kique’ Gomez has all three.

More notably known as an alum of The Voice, Kique is as individual in his craft as one can be. He is originally from Miami, Florida, and comes from a Hispanic family. His music is the canvas on which his Cuban and American roots become enmeshed. During his Blind Auditions for the show, his tone and technique were the highlights, with established talent like John Legend and Camila Cabello preferring different sides to his voice. He ultimately joined Team Gwen (Stefani) and went all the way to the Top 10. Unfortunately, at that point, he caught the Coronavirus and performed from home. His performance, despite meeting all the top requirements somehow fell short of the spark for his fans and he was eliminated.

Since his departure from the show, Kique has been performing in concerts and working for the recording studio. He says in one of his Instagram reels, “This is not the end for us. There is so much more in the pipeline that I cannot wait to share with you all. Just know that great stuff is cooking.” To Kique, it has been a difficult journey to find space for himself in the music industry. He believes that the fast-paced music industry is not for everyone, which is why genres like Indie and Blues are not topping the charts. At the same time, music provides one with endless room for exploration and expression. He has found following your voice and letting it branch out in its direction to be the best course of action for any artist.

It is easy to follow influential names when entering any agile industry. Everyone craves a stable slate of support. But this can just as easily mean you end up sacrificing your originality – what makes you who you are. This is one thing that Kique has made sure not to do. He takes inspiration from other musicians but never copies their work. For all his covers on The Voice, from the blind Auditions to the Top 10 performances, he took creative license with the melody or tune and shone brighter than most contestants on the stage. This is what the judges and audience loved about him and why fans continue to root for him.

You can follow Kique’s journey in the wake of his The Voice days and stay updated with the latest developments and announcements on his Instagram account.

Walid Chaya is an outstanding storyteller. He loves to make films that defy the trends of harmful stereotyping and promote modernity, peace, and harmony. Through his work and image, he is influencing the years-long phenomenon that portrays Arabs as barbaric, terrorists, and plain trouble. Through his role as a filmmaker, he consciously creates content that brings the positive aspects of his Arab lineage, depicts middle-eastern culture as progressing and worthy of being shared. Not to forget, downright hilarious and fun!

Talking about funny, let us not forget Walid Chaya being part of the stellar cast of Old School Sketch Show which is the longest-running sketch comedy show produced by one of the most popular comedy theatres in NYC, The People’s Improv Theatre (The PIT). Chaya has performed twice in this show alongside fellow comics, including Rachel Strauss-Muniz (Peacock), Christine Piniero (MTV), Sandy Chansamone (Broadway Comedy Club) and TJ Young (Caroline’s).

Walid holds the “Diversity Scholarship Award” from Upright Citizens Brigade LA for his work in participating in sketch writing and improvisation performances, bringing Middle Eastern characters to comedy.

His notable work that is shifting middle-eastern characters to comedy and breaking the racial stereotypes also includes his films that feature characters of color in leading roles. His award-winning short film, ‘Driving Ms. Saudi’ depicts the softer image of Arabs. The movie revolves around a son, played by Walid Chaya himself, who is inspired to help his Saudi mother learn how to drive after the KSA lifted the ban on women driving in the kingdom. This new development is depicted in a heartening and thought-provoking manner in the movie which is written and directed by Chaya himself. The movie received a great response and it also won Best Short Film in Dubai’s prestigious WOW Mid-East Film Fair, Silver Medal for Best Comedy Short at the Asia South East-Short Film Festival, among other official screenings at over a dozen prominent festivals from around the world.

He is currently developing two new feature films that, despite having different genres, are also depicting stories of middle eastern characters.“Breaking The I.C.E.” is an action-drama that follows refugees on the run from I.C.E in Hollywood. Inspired by true events, the movie is about Kareem, a displaced Syrian lawyer, who is on the run for refuge in Los Angeles and must save himself and his friends from deportation when I.C.E. Agents find him.

The second is a hilarious musical comedy/parody “The Barent Trap” with a notable team of Arab American performers and production designers. Walid plays two identical Lebanese twins who get separated at birth and are both raised by one of their biological parents. They discover each other for the first time at a Los Angeles falafel shop in their late 20’s and make a stupendous plan to reunite their stubborn parents and be a family again.

Historical stereotypes and tropes are hard to break. Walid Chaya’s efforts in breaking these legendary dramatic stereotypes are truly remarkable.

DALLAS, TX — One of the hottest and most talented Latin singers today, Mexican-based, Chilean songwriter Mon Laferte is set to bring some sizzle to the House of Blues Dallas on Oct. 24.

Born Norma Monserrat Bustamante Laferte, the thirty-something native of Vina del Mar, Chile has made a name for herself in the Latin music scene thanks to a mesmerizing and enthralling mix of pop, rock, bolero, cumbia and salsa.

Thanks to selling 1.5 million digital copies of albums and singles such as “Tormento”, “Mi buen amor” and her 2017 Latin Grammy-winning song, “Amarrame”, Laferte is the most-listened to Chilean artist on Spotify.

A natural talent at the age of nine, Laferte began her musical career after winning a guitar in a singing contest. By the time she turned 13, Laferte was playing in local bars in Santiago and Valparaiso.

Multi-talented and able to play a variety of instruments such as the guitar, piano, harmonica and drums, Laferte has put her seemingly natural talents to use in winning three Latin Grammys for the forementioned “Amarrame” for Best Alternative Song “Norma” for Best Alternative Music Album and “Biutiful” for Best Rock Song in 2020.

On October 24th, Laferte will be bringing her multi-talented skills to the House of Blues Dallas as she is in the midst of a 31-city US tour, with Dallas being the last of a three-city Texas tour, as she is also set to perform Oct. 22nd in Houston at the Bayou Music Center and Oct. 23rd in San Antonio at The Aztec, where she will be performing songs from her new album, SEIS, out now via Universal Music Mexico.

A unique take on Mexican music that she created during the pandemic while living in the small town of Tepoztlan—where she has lived since 2007—the 14-track SEIS is already garnering buzz as arguably her best work yet.

With notable collaborations alongside Sinaloa-based brass ensemble, La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho and arguably her duet with legendary Mexican singer Alejandro Fernandez on the track, “Que Se Sepa Nuestro Amor”, SEIS is a powerful, expressive and well-done masterpiece.

With early reviews of SEIS from Billboard and BBC Music describing Laferte’s sound as “vulnerable and commanding” and her most intimate and courageous yet; tackling complex topics such as misogyny, repression, and injustice, inspired by her lived experiences.”

If you are a fan of something bold, it would be worth your while in checking out one of the most talented and vocal new sounds in Latin music today in Laferte.

Love has the ability to propel us to tremendous heights. For the sake of the one they love, many people have crossed deserts, climbed mountains, and given up their luxurious lifestyles. The soundtrack to many broken hearts is music, which sets the tone for many of these love stories. Is it, however, powerful enough to alter the way we perform our everyday activities?

The rising musician, the talented Usman Ashraf, reveals that as we identify with the tone and lyrics, many of us recognize the power of music when we’re unhappy or have experienced a personal loss. Music has also been shown to improve one’s mood in studies. People who listened to uplifting music improved their moods and happiness in just two weeks, according to research from the Journal of Positive Psychology. That is precisely what Usman wants to achieve through his music and makes relaxing people his goal.

In his childhood, Usman believed that music was always the best companion he had. On the worst days, when he didn’t know what to do or who to see, he could turn on some music and let his mind wander and feel comfortable. Usman used music to communicate his excitement on good days and his concerns on bad days. Regardless, Usman’s constant companion was music. Something he could always count on. Something he assumed would always be there for him. He wanted something that would never abandon him. That is when Usman promised himself: he would use the music that had inspired him to help the world and make people feel relaxed and empowered in the same way music made him feel.

Usman also believes in the therapeutic power of music. Music therapy is explained as the clinical and evidence-based use of music therapies to achieve customized goals, says the American Music Therapy Association. It’s now utilized to boost people’s moods and help them regain their energy and heal more naturally. Usman wishes to produce such music which would be therapeutic to people, change their mood instantly and make them feel empowered in their own skin.

1: Tell us about your background getting to where you are today?

Hey, I’m Harmony Aaliyah,  I am 15 years old, and I started singing lessons with my incredible talented vocal coach Cassandra Ame at the age of 8 years old. I have continued to grow under her coaching and mentoring. She’s a brilliant coach who pushes me to get the most out of each and every lesson.

I entered several open mics over the years and was awarded many awards such as Performer of the Night and Rising Star. I am currently continuing to sing at different events around my hometown.

2: Where are you from? I am from Melbourne, Australia.

3: How did you get into music? I got into music when I started singing lessons. Since then I have undertaken many music exams in singing, piano and guitar. I continue to play the piano and guitar everyday as it assists with my singing and songwriting.

4: What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life? The most challenging thing I’ve had to overcome is constant bullying that often impacts my wellbeing. On the music front the most challenging obstacle is that I had to realise it takes time to achieve perfection. It takes hard work and dedication with a positive mindset to achieve goals.

5: Are you currently signed or independent? I am currently independent but looking for a producer, and/or a record deal to start my journey as a professional music artist!

6: Who inspires you the most musically?

This question is hard for me to answer as there are so many people in the music industry that inspire me, from producers to artists. But my main inspiration would be Justin Bieber who started his career at a young age, after being discovered off Youtube by the talented and amazing Scooter Braun.

7: What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?

I would love for people to feel a sense of belonging, acceptance and inspiration after listening to my music. I would also love for people to appreciate my unique voice as these days a unique voice is hard to find. People don’t need to like my music, they just have to accept it, understand it, and appreciate each and every lyric in the song.

8: What is your greatest achievement as a musician?

My greatest achievement would be getting up in front of a crowd nerves and all and always given it my all. Never giving up on my goals and striving to always do better. I keep an open-minded approach to building technique and exploring the best options for my voice.

9: Do you produce your own music? If not who do you work with? Currently I write my own music, but I take advice and constructive criticism from my vocal coach. Soon though I will be partnering with an extremely talented international producer/songwriter.

10: Who is one artist you wish you could work with? It’s extremely hard for me to choose one particular artist as there are so many talented artists I would love to work with. However, If I could only pick one it would be the brilliant Demi Lovato as her voice is unique and one of a kind, just like mine.

11: Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is coming out? What is it about? We need to keep my new music under wraps for the moment. It will be about life, love, challenges and the long road ahead.

12: What does a day inside your shoes look like?

–         My day generally starts at 5am, then I take a sip of my ice-cold lemon water and warm up my vocal cords with a range of warm ups I have learnt over the years.

–         At around 5:45am I either do a cardio based workout or weight training to build muscle and stamina.

–         By then it’s around 6:45am and time to throw on my school uniform and get my day started!

–          After school I attend Vocal lessons, acting classes, Guitar and Piano lessons, and Song writing sessions.

–         I also play competitive Hockey. When I can schedule a session in, I do boxing lessons and PT sessions.

–         That brings us to night time where I take to social media, catching up with family and friends and just chilling out, play my guitar and piano till my eyes can barely stay open.

13: Anything else you want the audience to know about you?

I am always happy to meet new people, and make new friendships. I am a hardworking, determined person who is ready to take on any challenge you throw my way! Feel free to shoot me a DM on Instagram, to talk business or just to say Hey! On @harmonyjakie

If you’re a football fan, chances are you’ve heard Amy Jack and her two big hits, “Big Boy Up” and “Vegas Style” that have been featured and played on ESPN and Fox Sports.

But do you know her? The woman behind the catchy tunes?

Her songs such as “For The Love of the Game” was prominently featured on the 2016 U.S. Olympic Committee’s ‘Road to Rio’ Tour, in addition to a feature for Kobe Bryant on FOX Sports and the ESPN Network during March Madness the same year.

A country music star who has worked with legends in the industry such as the late Merle Haggard and influenced by the likes of Willie Nelson, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby  and Cher.

An avid football fan and native of Oklahoma, Jack is a big fan of the Cleveland Browns and their star franchise quarterback, Baker Mayfield, there is no doubt that she will be cheering on her fellow Sooner alum as he faces the defending Super Bowl champions in Kansas City.

With the release of her debut album, “Introducing Amy Jack” I had the chance to chat with Amy about her album, her hit tracks “Big Boy Up!” and “Vegas Style”, working with Merle Haggard and our fave QB, Baker Mayfield.

BOOMER SOONER!

Hello Amy! Greetings from Cleveland home of INSCMagazine! How are you? Congrats on “Big Boy Up” and “Vegas Style” blowing up, how has the reception of both songs affected you?

It’s been very exciting hearing all the pleasant reactions. These songs are meant to be pure entertainment. All of us who create just wish for our songs to be heard by as many as possible. “Big Boy Up” is meant to make it fun to step up in life, even if you’re not a boy.

From what I’ve gathered, you’re a big sports fan. What are your favorite teams and players?

I’m a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns and Baker Mayfield. He was named the number one Oklahoma player of all time, not just quarterback, but player. He’s a leader. We’re seeing how he has made the Browns believe in themselves, and also all the Browns all the hardworking Browns. He actually inspired one of my songs, “Shake and Bake.”

Describe your time and experience in working with Merle Haggard? What was that like and what did you learn?

Merle was the most lively person you could meet, and working with him I learned how fastidious he was. He was constantly learning, innovating, and taking pride in every detail of everything he touched. He was the most ambitious and driven human being I’ve ever met.

Describe your mission to uphold his legacy. How do you plan on remembering him and continuing on from what he started?

I plan on remembering him by trying to be just like him. To quote his auto celebrity biography, Sing Me Back Home, he said to all the dreamers and all the seekers. I hope to share my music with the world to honor his legacy, and I’ll continue sharing his music with the world as well.

Who were your musical and singing influences growing up?

To name a few, my greatest musical influences range from Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Glen Campbell, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, and Bing Crosby to Cher, Carly Simon, Diana Ross, Donna Summer, Olivia Newton John, and Barbra Streisand among many others.

What would you say is the one track that you’re most proud of and why?

A track I am most proud of is “My Favorite Memory” which Merle wrote. To cover this song after Merle made it a number one hit in the world was a challenge. I was hoping he would approve, and he did to which I was very grateful.

What would you say is your biggest achievement so far?

Having the change to work with Merle and have him produce my album was a true honor and definitely one of my most treasured achievements. Hearing my music on ESPN was another proud moment!

Any final thoughts and words you want to share with your readers?

Just hoping and praying that they’re alright in such an uncertain time. I’m working on a new song about hope to share very soon. Always remember every day is a gift that we’re given.

At the age of 25, Luke Villemur has already composed the music of acclaimed TV shows, films, commercials and theater.

Born in Argentina, Villemur is one of the most recognized composers in the country.

Inconvivencia is one of the shows that made Villemur’s career take off. The show is available in Argentina in FLOW, streaming in Telefe, one of the two most important networks in Argentina. Tomas Fonzi and Laura Fernandez, two of the best-known actors in Argentina, are part of the cast.

‘Heidi: Bienvenida Al Show’ is another one of his soon to come out projects, which will be released by Netflix.

Luke Villemur also composed the music for ‘Inolvidable Heidi’ an Argentinean film shot in Colombia that is in postproduction and will be released by Netflix in Latinamerica and Europa

His music also appeared in the commercials of Volkswagen, Peugeot, Sedal, and many other.

His mother is a professional actress and singer, and his father is in charge of the financial part of a big company of schools and universities.

Luke got the best of both worlds as he grew up, being his mom so spiritual and creative working with a lot of artists, and his dad more rational and down to earth working for a big company.

They have taught him from two very different perspectives which made him who he is today, an artist, music composer, and producer.

At the age of ten, he started taking piano and guitar lessons, and over the years, when his career started blowing up, he felt the need of learning to play more instrument to make even better compositions, so he started to get into bass guitar, drums, and cello.

Villemur started to record and produce his own songs at the age of 13 on his mom’s home studio, getting better over the years, and starting his own bands and playing live in small and big venues in town.

At the age of 16, he found himself re-watching all Star Wars movies for the 23rd time, but this time just paying attention to its music and how beautiful and well composed it was. There he realized that music was his future.

After finishing high school, Luke Villemur studied film scoring and music production in Buenos Aires. Later on, he followed his dreams, moved to LA and studied Recording Arts at the Los Angeles Film School.

There he met two of his best friends with which he lived and collaborated on a number of projects. Luke also started his own band called “Single Shop,” with one of his friends. They write and produce their own music, having different featured artist singing and participating in every song.

Last year, he founded a music production company called “MELT Music” where he is currently working and producing for big names and artists in Argentina.

Keep up with his career on Instagram! @lukevillemur

In an industry that is always looking for a new face and some refreshing talent, look no further than French-born model/actress Gigi Dia. Dia, who stars in the film ‘The Daily Dreamer’, is a name that you should get to know quickly.

As every film Gigi stars in, the ‘Daily Dreamer’ also got a few official international film festival selections. Some of them are Marina Del Rey Film Festival 2019, Moscow Shorts Film Festival 2019, Golden State Film Festival 2020, and Esoteric Film Festival 2020.

In the film, Aurora, The Daily Dreamer’s columnist, meets the legendary artist “M” to discuss the phenomenon of sleeping experience. The interview takes place at a fashion photo shoot for “M’s” new project, the Gold-themed Dream of Eternal Beauty.

The obscure atmosphere and unearthly appearance of the models impress Aurora deeply. The interview with the mysterious art maven turns into a psychedelic journey to the border between the real and illusory worlds. Aurora interprets the cover girl’s figure as the symbol of High Priestess (played by Gigi Dia), one of the most powerful archetype figures.

Usually, when High Priestess appears in a tarot reading she indicates that now is the time to trust your instincts and go with your gut feeling, pay attention to your dreams, and signs the universe sends you.

This encounter becomes the turning point in Aurora’s life.

Born to a Senegalese father and Mauritanian mother, the UCLA alum has starred in a number of films such as UN HOMME PRESSEE with Leïla Bekhti and Fabrice Luccini, NUMÉRO 10/NUMBER 10, shot in France and where Gigi played AICHA, a soccer player, NIOFAR, where she played a young foreign girl from Senegal freshly arrived to France, and many more.

Dia began modeling in 2016 in Paris and London, before tranistioning into short films and acting, was also a guest in the movie MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: FALLOUT directed by Christopher McQuarrie.

The French actress became an icon and BEAUTY BLENDER for SEPHORA made her the face of the brand. Keep up with Gigi’s life on Instagram @gigidia
