As social media continues to gain popularity, achieving virality on platforms like TikTok has become more accessible. To increase their following, influencers are incorporating humor and comedic elements into their posts to attract a wider audience, potentially catching the attention of celebrities along the way. Rachel Cohen is a social media influencer who posts funny videos on TikTok and Instagram to garner the attention of stars and the public at large.

Being a fitness guru, Rachel has over a thousand followers on her Instagram page. She posts fitness videos and workout routines which she makes at the gym or at home. She is adamant about spreading body positivity and accurate information for women to get the body of their dreams. Her motivational videos have garnered so much love and likes that she decided to step into the humorous side of social media.

On TikTok, she makes funny videos about different things her kids do not like eating and mixes them up with ketchup, whipped cream, mustard, and sprinkles to make them look attractive. Her ingredients don’t change regardless of the food in front of her. She put these unappetizing condiments on everything from spaghetti to crackers. While some of her followers gag at the unconventional pairing of the ingredients, others find it amusing and entertaining.

Gordon Ramsey, the world-class chef with no filter to his speech, called her video “A Spaghetti Nightmare.” Creating something that had Gordon Ramsey screaming for his mum was extremely funny for her audience and, to this day, is the top most pinned post on her TikTok page. Other horrendous videos are “When your kids don’t like eggs and cheese,” She then adds ketchup, strawberries, melted chocolate, whipped cream, and sprinkles, then ends the video with her signature “voila.”

While most people have loved the humor in these videos, some find the wastage of food disturbing. With the cancel culture on the rise, Rachel was distraught that her posts might be considered wasteful, so she hopped on to create a video where she explained everything. She made a rap song about the concerns of her wasting food and clarified, “I am here to reassure every one of you. That wasting food that is good to eat, I simply would not do.

She is making it clear that the food she uses for her videos is food that is ready for trash and would be thrown out if not used to make humorous videos to put her fans to rest. Debunking the waste concerns, she continues to make these videos for her audience, and her children are in on the videos too. Recently, for Valentine’s Day, her children concocted a mind-boggling group of ingredients into a cupcake for their mother.

Through her open-witted humor, she critiques the very thing people enjoy in her video, turning the mirror back on society. Ultimately, these food hacks and funny videos are to encourage people to be kind, considerate, and empathetic. Rachel advocates anti-bullying and encourages people to be kind unconditionally and everywhere, online and offline. Her kindness initiative, “One Bracelet At a Time,” is a massive success in her local community, and she is working hard to spread awareness worldwide.
